A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed by a family member of a woman and her son who were killed in a head-on collision with a FedEx truck. The accident took place on Interstate 80 in Wyoming when a tire on the FedEx tractor-trailer blew out, sending the vehicle into oncoming traffic. The lawsuit was filed Friday in the U.S. District Court of Wyoming and alleges that a tire on the FedEx truck "was in a defective, dangerous condition" before the accident. The lawsuit names Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations and its subsidiaries, FedEx Ground Package Systems and a company called CLR Transportation as defendants.
In Washington State a truck driver fell asleep, crossed the center line of a highway and collided with a car and a school bus. The 22 year old driver of the car died from his injuries. 43 students riding in the school bus were taken to the hospital, treated and released. One year ago, the same truck driver was cited for crossing the center line causing a collision with injuries in this same area.
A lawsuit has been filed against McDonald's by a teen from Muncie, Indiana who alleges bleach was put into his drink. The lawsuit was filed last week in Delaware Circuit Court 1 and alleges that he mistakenly drank cleaning solution after he filled his cup "at the beverage stand with what he believed was iced tea." Soon after drinking from his cup, the teen began to vomit. The lawsuit alleges that the cleaning solution was left in the drink machine by the restaurant's employees.
